I have to post something so they don't close my blog down. All is well here. Dave is still looking for a job. But, we still have faith something will be found. We are both enjoying the new stage in our lives of being empty nester's.

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings......and Weddings

Forty-eight months and 4 weddings. I thought I would put a photo up of each of our children and their spouses on their wedding day. Dave and I often talk to each other about how happy we are that each of our children have married wonderful people that bring so much fun to our family.

Josh and Ashley were the first wedding, they were married August 13, 2005. This is the only photo I have on my computer of their wedding. (Hey you two I would like a disk of your wedding photos) They got married in the Denver Colorado Temple. They had a reception at Ashley's home, her mother Susan had work very hard all summer long making their back yard beautiful. It was a wonderful reception in spite of the cold rain. Josh and Ashley headed back to BYU to finish their schooling.

Amber and Brad Fausett were married in the Denver Colorado Temple on August 11, 2006. I love this photo of them, they had a wonderful reception at our friends, Doug and Mary Polson's home. This photo was taken on their front porch. The whole family and friends helped get this reception together and it was exactly what Amber wanted, it was beautiful. we had about 45 minutes of the best weather, not too hot or too cold...then the storm front came in and it blew and rained. But, that didn't ruin the party we all had a great time.

Barbra and Jack Cottrell were married on July 27th, 2007 again in the Denver Colorado Temple. I thought I had lots of pictures of them however I think since my computer was rebuilt twice this summer they are no longer there. No panic though I just need to get the disks from Barbra again and this time make me a hard copy too. So, sorry Barb and Jack, this is not a very good picture. We had a wonderful reception in our front yard, thanks to hard work by all family and most all friends all summer long. And believe it or not we had perfect weather. However, it was raining all around our neighborhood so several friends did not come thinking that we were all cramped in the house celebrating. It was a beautiful evening and I have a wonderful front yard as a bonus of the wedding reception and hard work.

Our most recent wedding was Catherine and Joshua Wells. They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on July 30, 2009. We had a great time at the wedding and luncheon in Utah, then hurried home while they went on their honeymoon to finish the reception preparations. We decided to not risk the weather this time and held the reception at the very quaint 1912 Louviers Village Club House. Of course in spite of a summer with rain almost every night, the weather on August 8th was great. But, no worries, I could never of lived through the stress of wishing our one night was going to be a dry night and the Club house gave the reception a very retro classic feel. We all enjoyed great food (ice cream bar included), great friends, and fun family time. Joshua and Catherine are now at BYU finishing their educations.

Here are a couple of photos of Dave and I at Catherine and Joshua's wedding. Twenty-nine years ago this coming December Dave and I were photographed in this same tree. So this blog ends with a couple photos of us.

Brock James Fausett, Amber & Brad's little one

These are some of the most recent pictures of our new grand-son Brock. They are not very recent I believe he was about two weeks old when we took these. In the one with Brad and Brock, he is new born, just minutes old. Here are the stats on Brock James Fausett:
Born August 27, 2008
At: 1:34 pm
Weighed: 7lbs 8oz
Length: 19 1/2 inches

And most important Grandpa and Nanna think
he is the cutest little boy in existence.

We are here

I decided to enter the bloggesphere world. And as my first step I have probably spelled that word wrong; if it is even a word. I have been on facebook for a while now, but there are so many family and friends that do not have facebook and can't view the pictures of our growing family that I had to have another option for them. I will start slow I am sure, but hopefully the learning curve isn't too steep and I can make this a family informative site. I am hoping I can link into it some of my genealogy research too. Well, onto learning how to add pictures; since that was one of the main reasons for all of this.

Love to all, Nada
